These are a solid pant

The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 July 7, 2008

For the money, it is hard to beat these pants. I picked them up for my wife and she loves them. They fit well, are avail. in short lengths, have just enough insulation for cold mornings, and a great venting system for those warmer days on the slopes. Overall, a great option.

Great glove.

The North Face Dilithium Ski Glove - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 July 7, 2008

I picked these up for my wife who always has cold hands and have been really impressed with them. No longer does she have a problem with chilly fingers, nor does she worry about them getting damp. The Hyvent/Gore combination does a great job keeping the moisture out and the Heatseeker insulation is super efficient without too much bulk. Overall, a great option.

Good, light option.

The North Face Apex Elixir Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 July 7, 2008

I bought this as a lightweight option to take the edge off those brisk mornings and have really been impressed. It does a great job with light moisture and snow, but if it is actually storming, a heavier option is probably a better choice, as this will soak through if it is subjected to much heavy moisture. For what it is designed to do though, it performs perfectly.

Like a microwave for your brain.

The North Face Logo Beanie

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2008

This hat is REALLY warm! The blend of a fleece liner and the wool exterior makes it nice on the ears, yet still gives you all the benefits of a wool shell. Overall, a great choice for keeping your noggin' toasty on those cold January mornings.

My wife lives in them

The North Face Ryn Cord - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2008

Picked these up for my wife and she loves them! They stretch, they breathe, and they come in short lengths for her little legs. She has since bought more colors to fill her closet.

Solid Option

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 July 7, 2008

I picked these up and have really been happy with the performance. They fit well (especially in the short lengths for those of us who are vertically challenged), they do a great job in wet weather, and they vent nicely with or without the leg vents opened. For the money, this is a tough pant to beat

Platypus Quick-Disconnect Kit

It should connect to the Hiker without a problem. What I have done with mine is put the male end of the connection into output the hose of your Katadyn and you are all set.

Perfect for short legs

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2008

Buying ski pants has always posed a problem for me as most brands tend to run long in the inseam length. These on the other hand have worked out perfectly in the fact that they are avail. in a short version. I have used these pants in varying conditions from sunny and powdery to wet and heavy and they have yet to disappoint. If you are looking for a great pant at a reasonable price, I would definitely recommend these.

So I splurged

Outdoor Research Super Couloir Glove

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2008

This is by far the most expensive glove I have ever purchased but in my opinion worth every penny. I have worn the liners separately for most of the ski season and they are perfect unless the snow is REALLY wet. The shells fit well and NOTHING comes through them. I am not sure that I will ever need to use both the liners and the shells together as the warmth individually is enough for everything but the coldest temps. If you need a glove for those frostbite inducing days, these would definitely do the trick.

Great socks.

SmartWool Skiing Light Socks

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2008

These fit well. They don't bunch up in your boots and give you enough padding and warmth in the places that you need them too. Overall, a great sock for heading up to the slopes in. I just wish my everyday socks were this comfortable.

Love the pants

Mountain Khakis Teton Twill Pants - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 4, 2008

This is my first pair of Mountain Khaki pants and I can honestly say that they might be the most comfortable pants I have ever owned. They do run a touch small, so I would recommend that you size up one size from what you normally would wear, but other than that they are are flawless. They definately won't be my last pair of these.
