Awesome Shoe

Mad Rock Mugen Climbing Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 25, 2008

I think the guy that wrote the last review is either an idiot or works for a competing company. The shoe fit great, stretched almost none and performed like a champ. It's a synthetic lined shoe one of the reasons I bought it was I can fit it for performance and it keeps that fit (no stretch). Its a stiffer shoe and edges on a dime (the thin side). No smell problems but maybe this other guys feet are like his reviews. They stink.

Mad Rock Mountain Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 7, 2007

The boot is great, climbs well, warm and comfortable. Not cut so narrow (womens fit)like most of the Italian boots. Not sure what the Anonymous guy is talking about, I think he has probably not really used the Mad Rock boots or does not climb. The Sole is actually shorter and sticks out less than on my La Sportiva boot. I had to shorten my cramonpons to fit snugly which was good and seemed to lessen the burn on my calves while front pointing. It does stick out more than on a walking shoe or sneaker due to the step in feature but that applies mountain boot that take a step in crampon. Its edged and climbed better on rock than my other boots, maybe because of the rubber?? Not sure why? Have not looked at all my boots and shoes but I think my Asolo hiking boots are made in China and know La Sportiva approach shoes are made there?? The Quality is good so not an issue for me with any of the brands.

OK I Guess

La Sportiva Solution Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 2 December 7, 2007

Tried these while in Europe and found them to be gimmicky. Love my La Sportiva approach shoes but thought this shoe was more show than go. I was told by the guy at the shop in Germany that this shoes is a big joke in Europe and they were not selling them any longer. If you like La Sportiva get a different model. Most La Sportivas rock shoes are too narrow for my foot but I find that most of the European shoes. Five tens and Mad Rocks are a better fit for my average width foot and better rubber.
