Expensive but worth it

Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Freeride Plus Binding

Rating for this product: 5 June 8, 2008

I'm new to AT set up, and decided to just cough up the cash and get these. They're mounted on a Dynastar Exclusive all-mountain ski and are GREAT in- and out-of-bounds. I was hesitant to use them with lift service as to not wear them out or ride too hard, but they're beefy and sturdy. Plus they're lightweight. Very happy.

Rock your socks off!

SmartWool Skiing Light Socks

Rating for this product: 5 June 8, 2008

These socks are great. I've got quite a few different kinds of ski socks, but these are the best non-bunching, non-slipping, non-stinky of the lot. Very content.

Great!

Black Diamond Ascension Nylon STS Skins

Rating for this product: 4 June 8, 2008

These are my first skins ever, so it took me quite a while to cut them and get used to using them (user error), but I've been happy with them on the hill. They come with a metal clip at the tail end, which was difficult to attach, yet the skins worked fine without it. Seem to be great!

Looks great

Nixon Vega Wood Watch - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 13, 2008

Oh, how I love this watch. It fits a little big so that it wiggles up and down my wrist a bit, but just looks so stylish in doing so. Definitely unique. And you get used to actually reading the time on it unlike other funky-shaped watches.

Not TOO big

Spy Zoe Sunglasses

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2008

I'd been wanting an oversized pair of sunglasses for a while now, but they always looked ridiculous. These, however, are just the right size and shape. They're great! I wear 'em around town and on the bike, too.

Thought of everything!

SmartWool Skiing Light Socks

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2008

These ski socks are incredible. They fit well and have features in all of the right spots. I really like the padded shins, especially since they fit flat and don't cause bunching. Very warm and dry, too!

A bit big

Nixon Vega Wood Watch - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2008

I bought this watch over the regular Nixon Vega because it looked stylish, less flashy, and more likely to go with everything. It definitely meets all of those standards and looks great. However, it's a bit too big and slides around like a bangle instead of staying put. Too bad it's not adjustable for those of us with small wrists.

Not the slimmest of cuts

Pearl Izumi Infini-T Long-Sleeve T-Shirt - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 January 16, 2008

I gave this as a Christmas present. The fabric and moisture wicking is great, but it's cut a little wide around the lower torso, according to the recipient. Nice color and comfy though.

Pretty Slick

Nixon Lizzie Watch - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2008

This watch definitely wins on style points. I bought it as a gift and it was well received. The only issue was that the band was too loose for her wrist, so we punched an additional set of holes in the leather. Looks great!

Warm and comfy

Icebreaker BodyFit150 Atlas T-Shirt - Long Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 16, 2008

I've never had a wool base layer before, and this shirt is really non-itchy like they claim. Nice and thin for layering, but delivers more warmth than other shirts. I've not bothered to change after hiking in the backcountry on my lunch break, and I looked fine for work and didn't stink. Hooray!

A bit small

Globe Castro Slip-On Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 16, 2008

I usually wear a 9 or 9.5, but the 9s were far too tight for me. You might try ordering up a size. I gave them to my little sister, and she says they're both comfy and warm, plus she gets compliments on them. Cute shoes.
