This was much more than I expected. Merino is such a near perfect material and the Emmissary zip exemplifies it to perfection. The fit, style and weight is spot on. Great layering or on its own.

Got the chance to really try it out in the Adirondacks on a snow shoe trek to the Five Ponds Wilderness area. It was worn over a base layer of Icebreaker merino wool and under an eVent hardshell and it performed excellent. Actually, the combo of all three let sweat escape quite adequately as to not over perspire. The fit is definitely sized for those in shape and not sporting a bulging gut. The zip-up collar was loose enough for me to allow side movement of the head without friction which is what I like. Overall satisfied. It's nice to see well made imports like this available in the US.
