Nice, simple jacket
Oakley Prolific Jacket - Men's
January 8, 2008
It's got all you need and nothing more, just the way I like it. There is an error on the description, the one I got DID/DOES have zip-in zippers for other Oakley softshell/fleece inserts. My Oakley "Soft Top" jacket zipped right in and adds an added warmth, when needed. Another nice touch is that the powder skirt has snaps to snap it out of the way when not in use (mostly). The magnet to keep the hood back is a good idea, but the power of the magnets is so weak that it seldom holds. The hand gaiters are very thin, so more for keeping moisture out than keeping your wrists warm. Overall a good jacket at a good price. I'm happy with it.

Good do everything shoe
Columbia Peregrine Hiking Shoe - Men's
December 28, 2007
Comfy, good grip, fairly light but not a running shoe weight. No complaints, I wanted a good hiking, bike riding, beating around town everyday shoe and this fits the bill. The lace eyelets are metal, so they shouldn't tear out and the leather is tough with mesh under it for breathability. I haven't tested for water resistance, so I don't know. I'm happy with em.

Very warm layer, great breathing
Mountain Hardwear Monkey Man Fleece Zip T - Long-Sleeve - Men's
December 21, 2007
Purchased for a warm layer when winter bicycling or 10F or lower snowboarding. It does a great job of wicking and providing warmth. I'm 5'11", 170lbs, 42" chest, 30" waist and the medium fits me well. With substantial stretch zones in the sides, chest and arms you could go a touch bigger than me and still fit a medium, snuggly. Unlike some other MH products it does have a longer cut to cover your beltline. It works great with my MH Tanglewood, which also has a longer waist cut. Wearing those two garments keeps me warm to 0F degrees (with other winter gear of course) when bicycling. Great gear and great customer service! I'll be buying another for backup soon.

Great for cycling!
Mountain Hardwear Tanglewood Softshell Jacket - Men's
December 21, 2007
Purchased for cycling, and it does a great job. 5'11", 170lbs, 42" chest, 30" waist and the medium with layers under it fits perfect. Very light, wind resistant, and I haven't been run over yet so I'm assuming the reflective patches may have helped. :) Two-way zipper helps when needing to adjust layers or what have you. It breathes well too with a wicking layer under it. Haven't needed the thumb loops because the arms are tapered and stay in place as is. It fits like a custom tailored garment. Very happy with it!
