MSR Denali Ascent Snowshoe
December 20, 2007
these are solid snowshoes. i use them for backcountry snowboarding,,,,which means i have a lot of gear on my backpack the whole time. i weight 175lb, plus all the gear, i will weight around 230lb when i send. with floatation tails attached, i can still handle 40cm of pow in kootenay backcountry. heal lifter works so well, cant imagine life without it. little pricy up here in canada but overall a good buy.

Lib Technologies Skunk Ape Magnetraction Snowboard
December 20, 2007
i have 167cm and it rides like a dream. i mainly ride backcountry, trees, chutes, cliffs,,,,all the natural stuff, and very little park when weather is crap. i was little worried about twin shape and its very little set back because of my riding style however, i put bindings as far back as they can get when i ride big mountains and its awesome. not as stiff as my previous board, option makinen 161cm, which also worried me a little when i received it since i like fast, steep, obstacle littered lines. when i actually rode it, it was very stable, sharp, easy to throw around despite its length, and floats on pow very nice. according to my buddy's GPS, i was going 86km/hr on groomer at kickinghorse, magne traction held its edge like it was glued to the snow and it felt very safe. when taking off jumps, it has lots of pop and stable platform for landing,,,,all the time. now, as for park riding, i cant say much since last time i rode park was 2005 and last rail session was 2003. i was told my buddy who rides park a lot that it might be little too stiff for full blown park junkies. however, the board was originally designed for freestylers in mind so im sure it will do you good.

Union Union Airblaster Inverter LMTD Edition Binding
December 19, 2007
the bindings looks and rides great. though it is a all around, freestyle oriented bindings, i mainly use them for backcountry, trees, chutes, cliffs, pillows, and little tiny bit of park when weather is crap. you will find the highbacks really flexible,,,which worried me a little when i recieved them, however after riding them all week at kickinghorse, they are proven solid, responsive, and have good flex for grabs. the look of the bindings are awsome as well. super funky with airblaster details, sure to get noticed. a lot of people cant really tell what bindings they are until you tell them. all the hardwares, and componenst on the bindings are solid and simple. no screws to loose and tooless adjustments are all nice. i rode many technines for last 5years and this bindings beats them all in my opinion. i have had many many problems with technines buckles, and all of their screws comming loose on hill. none of that with this union bindings.

Lib Technologies Skunk Ape Magnetraction Snowboard

i have 167cm and the board is amazing. i wear size13 dc boots and the boards width is perfect. i mainly ride backcountry, trees, chutes, cliffs, and little bit of parks when the weather is crap. its twin shaped but awesome in pow with little stance setback. softer than my previous option makinen pro 161cm, but definately faster with much less chatter. my first board with magne traction and i think im a believer now. it came handy at traverse lines into pow at kickinghorse. according to my buddys GPS, i was going 85km/hr on groomers, and it held edges like they were glued to the ground. for guys who wear big fat boots and are looking for all mountain, freeride/freestyle stick with lots of power, this may be the one perfect board. for park riders, i cant really tell you much since last time i hit park jumps were 2 years ago, and last rail session was 4 years ago. i was told my buddy who rides park lots, that it might be little too stiff for full blown park junkies. oh ya the graphic on both top and bottom are even crazier in person.

DC Judge Snowboard Boot - Men's
December 19, 2007
the boots are solid. my first boa boots, and it works good. it is true that lower half of the boots doesnt get as tight as the upper with boa, but it didnt bother me at all when riding. these are my 3rd dc`s and as ususal, they fit about one full size smaller. im not sure if im a fan of air pumps,,,,but its just a matter of personal likings. i mainly ride backcountry, trees, chutes, cliffs,,,,pretty much anything natural with little tiny bit of park when the weather is crap and they are have the perfect flex for what i like to do.
