After a hellish day of snow-shoeing with my board attached to a regular backpack, I decided to splash out on the Heli Pro. I have to say, I don't regret it for a second! I can attach my board either horizontally or vertically and it's comfortable either way. My shovel head fits perfectly in the front pouch and the handle locks in to the quick-draw holder on the side. The insulated arm straps are great for my water pouch and my water has never frozen on me since. Oh, and the back flap folds down and can be used a seat in the snow, which is ingenious!

I bought this probe to go with my Ortovox shovel and it is top notch. While thankfully I haven't had to use it in a real emergency yet, I have tried it out in the snow. The quick assembly systems really is quick: just throw, pull the cord and voila! Different colored sections help distinguish just how deep your buddy is under the snow, which is useful. Oh, and it's really light considering how long it is. The only thing is that a 3.20m probe is probably overkill, so if you want something cheaper, go for a 2.80m.

What can I say about this jacket other than "It's perfect!" It's light, completely waterproof and windproof, warm stylish, has all the pockets you need and looks great on the slopes as well as walking around downtown. Who would have thought you could make denim coated Gore-Tex? It's ingenious! The only downside is that you can't unzip the hood, but I don't think you can with any of Burton's AK range anyways. Overall, this is probably the best jacket I've ever owned.
