Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Men's

September 7, 2008

I'm planning on wearing my asterisk knee braces (very heavy duty) under these pants, do you know how tight the fit is in the knee?

Well I went ahead and bought a pair and the braces fit just fine......

Fits over large Asterisk knee braces

Arc'teryx Theta SK Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 30, 2008

Just a quick note, these pants fit over my heavy duty Asterisk knee braces w/ no problem! I haven't skied in them yet (it's still summer) but the build quality is outstanding as expected. I use other gear by Arc'Teryx (climbing/outdoor activities) and have been impressed by the thoughtful designs and durability of their products so I expect similar. I plan on using these pants skiing and for those wet rainy days when riding my dual sport motorcycle.

great for restless sleepers

Big Agnes Cross Mountain Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree Synthetic

Rating for this product: 5 August 27, 2008

I've used this bag down to 20F by placing my outer jacket and other clothing on top. It did the trick and stayed put even though I tend to roll over during the night, which is the main reason I purchased it. Also works well when it's hot. This is the first time I've slept in a bag that stays put!!! Great product, very well built and designed.

break in

Scarpa Marathon Rock Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 4 June 24, 2008

Out of the box these shoes are tight, but thanks to the leather uppers they will eventually break in. I also wear a 10 (43.5) and it has taken several weeks for break in, but now I can go all day. It might still be a good idea to go 1 size larger then normal...best to try on 1st? These shoes work great (I climb 11's) and I found them for just over $50 on sale....I do get strange looks due to the unconventional heal design. I wouldn't use them for walk offs though.
