I have been riding Burton Ion boots for the last several years, and was very happy with them. This year, I bought a Lib Technologies TRS Magne-Traction 167 board, and changed my angles to 60 on the front, and 40 on the back. The Ions just did not have the side-to-side ankle response that I needed. I replaced them with new Burton Driver-X boots, and the side-to-side response, and front-to-back response, is immediate. I am riding better than ever with these new boots. Getting in and out of the boots with Burton's side-pull lacing system is so nice. Tightening the laces is so easy that I don't even take off my gloves. I now find myself pulling them tight before each run. It has been like switching to power steering.
