Some cautions
06-26-03 ![]() |
We use these at the back with saddles in front for our sea kayaks. While they work well when loading, they do not secure the kayak as well as the saddles underway--especially in the wind. We make trips from Wisconsin to South Dakota and other western states and the wind is usually strong. In addition, they don't "mold" to the hull shape as well, and have caused a permanent indentation in the bottom of my wife's kayak. We're going to saddles front and rear. For shorter trips or where wind is not a problem these rollers are great. |

Really hold

We've used these on the front of our racks for our kayaks for years and they simply WORK. The straps slip in only one way allowing us to secure them quickly and effectively. We have been using the rollers at the rear, but we're going to put the saddles there as well because the kayaks move somewhat on the rollers---but not on the saddles. |
