Why bother with a stuff-sack? I usually attach mine to the outside, even in the winter and have never had any issues. It's durable and waterproof, and easily cleaned with naught more than a quick shake. The only real problem I could foresee would be if it was super wet, but then a plastic bag would work fine...

The R1 Flash is probably my most-worn article of clothing. It's great over medium capilene with a shell on top for shredding on the hill, or even by itself for nordic skiing. I also use it over a t-shirt for cooler summer nights and wearing to class, etc. Also great for backpacking because it's so ridiculously compressible. If you want a fleece to wear alone in the winter, opt for something a little heavier, but the R1 is surprisingly warm, and extremely versatile.
