The North Face Mountain 25 Tent - 2-Person 4-Season

Rating for this product: 5 December 27, 2007

I bought this tent in 1999 and it still holds up strong with no leaking or peeling of any kind. I just bought another one yesterday - saw the new one on sale and couldn't pass it up!! Yes, it can get hot in the summer but I have used it throughout all 4 seasons. Whether setting up in puddles or snow, it has held up exceptionally well. The only thing that I have never liked about it is that it weighs a lot for a tent. If I had the extra money, I would go for the new Mountain Hardware tents (super light).

This Bastard Breaks My Falls with Ease

Metolius Fat Bastard Crash Pad

Rating for this product: 5 September 9, 2007

Metolius has come out with yet another great product and - as far as crash pads go - it's probably one of the best if not the best in quality for it's price range. I've taken many 10 foot falls and even a 15 foot fall and I barely felt it - just make sure you land right! I must for anyone serious into bouldering or climbers who would like that added protection before clipping into that first bolt.
