great piece

The North Face SDS 1/4 Zip Pullover - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 18, 2008

I recently bought this for a late spring trip to Montana. It worked excellent as a top layer on dry days and great under a rain shell when the weather got wet. The fit is athletic (meaning not baggy)which makes this a great piece for layering. It felt great after a day of being wet and cold rafting and equally as comfortable around the campfire at night and first thing in the AM when the temps dropped into the upper 30's/mid 40's.

Shirt does NOT run small

Backcountry.com Goat Not Cotton T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 May 28, 2008

I'm not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about regarding shirt sizing, but I would say, for a technical shirt these run a bit large, if not true to size. I wear a large in most regular cotton t-shirts, but a medium in more technical or fitted stuff. I order the large based on the below review and I was swimming in it. Had to return it for a smaller size. Other than that, seems like a great shirt for a tasty price.

great shoes

Vasque Velocity Trail Running Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 17, 2008

I was very pleasantly surprised at how well they fit right out of the box. I took them to the treadmill to break in and expected some rubbing or break-in issues - I had none. They fit very true to size and are very grippy. I have used them for a couple light afternoon hikes and a couple times on my mountain bike. They grab the mountain bike pedals very well - even when wet/muddy. No issues on the hikes. Overall, a good shoe at the regular price and a great shoe for the money if you can catch them on sale.

slim fit

The North Face Paramount Utility Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 13, 2008

Good quality item. The 34 waist was snugger than I imagined it would be, so I guess these are sized more like trousers than jeans (34 jeans are roughly 36 trousers). Luckily for me, I just shed 15 lbs of winter flab, so they fit great now.

Love it

Patagonia Capilene 2 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 March 13, 2008

This is my 4th Capilene shirt and 2nd Capilene 2. This holds FAR LESS odor than the Cap 1 shirts and is a good fitting, well made piece, even for slightly more muscular guys.

good stuff - a little smelly

Patagonia Capilene 1 Crew - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 8, 2008

good base layer. Wicks moisture very well and keeps me from overheating. Only drawback is that this shirt holds on to odor like crazy. I'm not a terribly stinky or sweaty guy, so I was surprised at how bad the shirt smells at the end of a long day of moderate activity. Still, very comfortable and functional - just bring a change of shirt if you plan on socializing with the opposite sex later

pleasantly surprised

Reef No Wave T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 30, 2007

For the price of the shirt, I wasn't expecting much, but I found this to be a very nicely made shirt - thin material with excellent construction. The fit is a slimmer fit but stretches nicely without losing its shape. I will definitely be buying more Reef T-Shirts

Great Shades

Smith Cause Sunglasses - Polarized

Rating for this product: 5 July 26, 2007

I bought a pair, loved them intensely for 8 days, destroyed them in an impromptu, drunken, co-ed wrestling match, mistakenly attempted to repair them with crazy glue while still intoxicated, succeeded only in gluing the lens to my finger, and bought another pair. Optical clarity is great (better than my polarized Ray-Bans) and these are fantastic for those who spend a lot of time out on the water and enjoy the use of their peripheral vision. Hands down, best pair of sunglasses I have owned.
