Kelty Mantra 7 Footprint
June 21, 2003
It's a lot easier to clean mud off of a footprint than the bottom of your tent. The protection from objects you might have missed when setting up your tent or that poke out of ground after setup are well worth it.

Kelty Mantra 7 Tent 7-Person 3-Season
June 21, 2003
A really big tent that I was able to set up by myself first time I used it in about an hour. A trial setup would be wise before first outing. Endured a 24-hour period (12-hour deluge) of rain that left me on a "waterbed" that day/night while other tenters were rained out of theirs. The "bathtub" bottom leaked in one corner a bit. Amazing considering the 4 inches of water around the tent! Didn't experience much wind but the tent seems really sturdy with lots of places to stake out and tie down (which kept me from floating away on this trip!). Outstanding ventilation. Zippered vents on peak a great idea! Large vestibule for all those things you don't want inside but don't want in the elements. Plenty of storage. Really a luxury tent as advertised with quality. Highly recommended for spoiled campers.
