The best winter jacket

Mountain Hardwear Confluence Parka - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 May 10, 2007

I've recently acquired my second Confluence jacket, as my much loved green one was stolen from my car. This is the best jacket ever. It's great for hiking (pit zips keep you cool), or any inclement weather - definitely a three season jacket. It kept me toasty warm all snowboarding season too, especially on the chair lifts. I also have the Link jacket, which zips in but which I prefer not to zip so it stays closer to the body. The combination of the two together is really warm and comfortable. This jacket is also a slimmer fit than the Typhoon, so less blousy and more flattering for slimmer figures. When the neck is fully zipped up it keeps the wind out and keeps the neck warm. Mountain Hardwear doesn't carry the Confluence jacket on its website this season (07) so the only way to get it is to buy from last season's stock. While I can't find my favorite green color anywhere, I've bought the pink combo because the style and fit are so right.
