Awesome stroller

Best stroller on the market. I had so much confidence in the stroller, I took it on a very rugged and primitive trail. That was a mistake. It is good for some rough terrain, but it can't replace a good child carrier backpack. Even with using the hiking attachment and my wife pushing from behind, it was miserable on the rugged trails we were on. It was our fault, we overestimated it's "off-road" capabilities. Just keep it to medium grades, and trails that aren't too rough and you will be happy. DESPERATELY needs the brake kit, don't buy it without picking one up. |

good part

Good part, will fit the cougar 2, but doesn't come with the brake kit. The end of the shaft bent on me somehow the first time I used it, but it doesn't affect its usage. |

great child carrier

looked at this vs the other options from kelty and deuter. What sold me was 2500cu in. I am able to carry my child, and three days worth of gear for my child, my wife, and myself. It is easy to rig up some external straps for extra storage by using the little plastic rings on the bottom of the detachable kids backpack. The only thing I am not able to carry is my food and water. I'm 6'1" and the suspension is maxed out. The rain cover has a defect in the stitching, but I will be contacting sherpani to see if I can get it replaced. It can carry up to 70lbs |

Huge

This cannister is huge. One should have no problems storing food for three people for two nights. Very nice stool, but trying to find a place to stow it on your pack will prove difficult if you are going lightweight or using an internal frame. It looks much larger than the pictures show. I might get two of the smaller ones instead, but I don't want the added weight of carrying two, so I'll live with it. |

good part

This is a good addition to the Cougar 2. VERY useful on steeper uphill grades. DANGEROUS without the brake kit on downhills of any grade. It throws you off balance going downhill. It MUST be purchased with the brake kit. This will give you a workout and was much better than the jogging kit at going uphill, but downhills are terrifying without the brake kit or someone to pull back on the handlebars. The cougar 2 cannot handle very rugged/primitive trails, even with this attachment. This is good for varying grades as long as the terrain isn't too rough, but I am still amazed at what the Cougar 2 can do with it. |
