Mountain Hardwear Sub Zero Down Vest - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 20, 2007

I've had this vest for over a year now, and use it as my daily insulator underneath my lightweight Marmot jacket and it works great. I work in North and South Dakota and know what works and what doesn't, and believe me, this works! A GREAT base layer in the winter, and warm enough by itself in spring and fall. Pockets are lined with soft flannel. Snug fit around the arms and waist keeps cold air and wind out and your body heat in. Wind does not get through! Packable to the size of a small football (comes with it's own storage bag that you can keep in the inside pocket). The only reason why I give it a 4 and not 5 is that it has started to leak it's down feathers through the seams around the armpits and shoulders, and they stick to my flannel lined Marmot jacket, so I know how much down I've lost over the year (it's not much, but I thought I'd say that it does leak some over time). But well worth the price, if I lost mine I would definitely buy another one without hesitation or question.
