Nearly perfect
The North Face Liberation Pant - Men's

Title says it all. Great fit, breathes well, completely water proof, and surprisingly tough. I only wish the edge guards on the pant legs were a little bigger.

Functional but a real nusance
The North Face Softshell Windproof Beanie
October 13, 2007
The hat itself is a tremendous, small, lightweight option for running in the cold, or back country hiking. However, the existence of two openings on the hat near the ears are in my opinion useless. I'm sure they were designed w/ a purpose, but I can't figure out what it could possibly be. Also, the stitching that closes the gap can be exceptionally irritating if it rubs at all against the skin. Lose these openings and it is a tremendous product.

Whether you are trying to relive the glory of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, or just looking for something that is easy on the feet and the eyes this is a great shoe for you. I recently saw someones grandpa walking out of a Safeway sporting a pair, and I must admit I dug his style

Patagonia Synchilla Marsupial Jacket - Men's
August 3, 2007
There is nothing fancy or technical about this fleece. It's warm and comfortable wet or dry, and is great for knocking around the campsite or pounding the pavement downtown. The stash pocket isn't quite made for carrying around your little ones, but it sure is good when your hands get chilled. You'll probably also have a great time trying to figure out how something can be this soft and be made out of mostly recycled materials.

Just enough to make a difference
Patagonia Lightweight Glove Liners
July 16, 2007
It's Patagonia, so quality isn't an issue. Great for the skier/rider/backcountry user that needs just a little more warmth without adding bulk. Once in your stash pocket, you will probably forget that they are even there. However, when the barometer starts to drop you will be glad you found them. They offer just enough insulation to make difference and they don't bind up when putting your hand in your glove.

Smith Phenom Spherical Goggles
July 16, 2007
Not my first pair, and as far as fit, style, and lens quality I have never owned another pair of goggles that even compares. Only because I hate making something sound perfect I would say that the foam could be better. The triple padding from Oakley is a little better as far as durability, but to be honest once these are on your face you probably wouldn't notice a difference.
