Perfect bag for me
The North Face Beeline Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Down
February 14, 2007
The beeline is my pride and joy. It is the lightest reasonable bag out there. My biggest fear when I bought the bag was that it wouldn't give me enough room in the legs; I haven’t found that to be a problem at all with the zippered footbox. Although, finagling your way into a zipperless bag can be a pain in the bottom bunk at a shelter, I think that's far less of a problem than the hassle of carrying around a heavier bag when you’re on the move.

As good as a softshell can be IMHO
The North Face Apex Zip Shirt Jacket - Men's
February 14, 2007
I think this jacket/shirt is great in cool weather. I went on a 10 mile day hike in 35 degree weather last weekend with a light weight base layer underneath and it was perfect. I never felt the need to take it off because of overheating. If I were to be out overnight in it, I would pack a wool sweater or something to go underneath it. I previously thought that soft shells were worthless - too light for the cold and to warm to move in, but this one is just right.
