Oh my orange!
Arc'teryx Silo 40 Backpack - 2320-2746cu in
June 18, 2008
So Red Beryl is just a fancy name for bright pumpkin orange. This pack was fantastic, but I couldn't stand the orange color (maybe it was the red straps across the orange that were really offensive). If you like orange this pack is for you. If orange is not your thing, you'll definitely like titanium better. It's a great pack--just a bad color.

Great while it lasted
Highgear Enduro Max Watch
June 18, 2008
We gave this watch to our 9 year old son. He loved it. And then one day it fell apart. Literally--fell apart after only 2 months of wear. We ordered a new one, hopefully the old one was just a fluke.

Almost perfect
Patagonia Solid Miramar One-Piece - Women's
April 18, 2008
I bought this suit for a trip to Belize. I love the color and the cut of the suit. It had great coverage on the leg and backside. It was very, very comfortable to wear. But I noticed when I was swimming, the top had a tendency to.....ride town. I tried to fix this by tying the back tighter, but that just made my shoulders sore where the straps were. This was a great suit for paddling, beaching, snorkeling, etc. But if you plan to actually swim--you'd better hold on tight, or you'll be showing things you don't want to show.

Amazing pants
Marmot Alta Ski Pant - Women's
February 11, 2008
These pants are great. Totally waterproof, and they keep out the wind, too. The best part is the fabric does NOT go "swish swish" when you move. The first time I wore these was skiing in a total blizzard with below-zero windchill on Mt Hood. I had ONE pair of long underwear on, and I was totally warm and cozy.
