Bad fit
The North Face Nuptse Winter Bootie - Men's
March 7, 2007
I should have taken the other customer's review to heart. The boots that he ordered were too loose, and mine were the same. I would hate to walk in any icy conditions with these on, being as mushy as they are. I don't know how warm they are, since I have not worn them in snowy conditions yet.

Love them, but wary
Level X-Type Glove - Women's
March 1, 2007
I bought the last pair of mens type x gloves that were available and loved them so much that I bought my wife a pair. So far they are great, they keep you warm and your hands do not tend to sweat (and my hands usually do when put into gloves); My only concern is that they seem to have gone out of business, for one reason or another, and I am hoping that this isn't an indication of their "lasting" ability. Since we have only used them a "handful" (yuk, yuk) of times, we cannot comment on this aspect.

Too small
The North Face Softshell Windproof Beanie

While this hat does keep the noggin warm, it is a bit short for my taste. It won't totally cover my ears so it is no good for a really cold day on the slopes.

Warm enough for me
The North Face VaporWick Mid Tight - Men's
January 31, 2007
I wore these with the Freedom ski pants (not the insulated version) from TNF and was plenty warm on my recent ski trip. I have not hit severe weather yet, but from what I can tell they will hold up to anything but a storm, and maybe they will hold up there as well.

Level X-Type Glove - Men's
January 30, 2007
I just got back from skiing the Apache Sunrise resort and have nothing but good things to say about these gloves. They are comfortable, warm, and water proof. I also used them to ride in some very cold weather here in Phoenix (yes, it was actually snowing here that day) and they kept my hands warmer than any other glove I have ever worn on the Motorcycle; even as speeds up to 90 MPH. If you can find them, buy them! Oh yeah, Backcountry.com ROCKS!!!
