After reading the other reviews that said these run large, I got the XS even though I am a size six. They fit okay standing up but are too tight when I sit down. I think they'd be perfect for a person who is size 4, maybe size 2.

I can't comment on how well it wears yet. The fabric is soft and does seem warm. But I thought I'd post here that the seam across the chest and arm is not contrast-stitching as it appears in the photo. The stitching is the same aqua color as the shirt.

I agree with the other reviewers, this top fits very well and I've gotten lots of compliments on how cute it is. It's a slightly heavier fabric that doesn't cling too much, and it doesn't wrinkle or bunch easily. I don't have a problem with showing any cleavage, but I'm a size small, 34B. I think you'd have to have a pretty big bust to worry about cleavage. The neckline does come down low, almost to the band of my bra if the shirt is tugged on, but it's a long, narrow V so it's not super revealing. The only potential drawback for me is that the wrap at the waist in front can sometimes ride up and show belly. Which I don't mind, but it makes it less appropriate for winter layering.

I liked this shirt's color and fabric, but it was thinner than I expected for the price. I was looking for an insulated winter shirt so I returned it. This is more of a silk-weight layer.

I love The North Face gear. This is a good top, but the fit is looser and the color is brighter than it appears on my screen. I purchased the green, size small. It does not cling to my waist but hangs straight down from the bust, and the bra is adequate for hiking or lifting but not tight enough for impact activities. The green is more of a bright leafy green than the soft muted color I was expecting. On the plus side, the straps cross in back, adding nice style.
