Mountain Hardwear Tonnerre Jacket - Men's
January 4, 2007
First things first, big ups for their amazing service. They let me return this jacket when I had lost the original product tags, that's pretty great of them. Anyways, this jacket could be amazing. It is very waterproof, flexes well, and it is pretty dang warm. Comes with this nice furry stuff on the inside, which can be fun to tell all your friends that it's yak fur or some other fun animal. Anyways, a problem arouse with this jacket. It's short. Let's face it, when you're skiing through pow, you're gonna fall down every once in a while. This just let's the snow into your pants. That's never fun. I'm 6' 175 lbs, and pretty normal as far as body type. This jacket came up above my belt-line in the back and caused many a wind to cool down my back. I find that despite this one problem, it's a solidly made jacket. Interestingly, where the jacket fails in skiing, it handles pretty well in climbing. Never got in my way, yet still... those blasts of wind on the back.
