This coat is more of a shell. It doesn't really have any insulation in it. You'll have to layer up when its really cold out. I'm getting cold wearing it in 30 degree weather (have only a t-shirt on under it) Because of the removable hood, i find it impossible to wear a hooded sweat shirt under it, unless I wear it over my head otherwise ya gotta bunch it up. It comes with a set of Burton in ear headphones but they sound horrible and mine stopped working completely. This coat is more suited for later winter early spring when its warmer. There are cheaper coats by Burton with more insulation. Nice looking coat though
