How do these things work? Does is just get the pulse from your wrist, or do you have to touch sensors on the watch with your fingers?

Getting down in the Hubba Hubba

MSR Hubba Hubba Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 June 20, 2007

I am super stoked with this tent. It is super light, packs very well and simply delivers on all accounts. The setup is a breeze, I recently had a race against 3 people working on a Sierra Designs tent, and I beat them all by myself. Two generous vestibules provide plenty of gear coverage for you and a buddy, and while it's not the largest two man tent out there, for a tent that's just over 3 lbs, it's pretty roomy, that is, if you don't mind rubbing shoulders a bit. At 6'2" I find the length to be more than adequate. I pack it in a size small Granite Gear compression sack (stuffing, not folding) and it packs down to not much bigger than the size of a football. I am very happy with this tent.

Mountain Hardwear Alchemy Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 24, 2007

I had my doubts about buying this jacket. Everyone was raving about soft shells and I knew I wanted one, but I didn't know if it was really worth the $. Now that I own one, I understand what all the hype is about. This jacket is awesome. It's super comfy and you can wear it anywhere. I mostly wear it around town, but I have used it snowboarding and it performs great. I've also used it a layering piece in >10 deg. weather. It's just a super piece. I'd buy it again.

Just what I was looking for.

Burton Basic Leather Pipe Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 29, 2006

I am not a big fan of bulky gloves that restrict my movement, in fact I have only used those little knit glove you can buy at the gas station for the last two seasons... They work great for nice sunny days, but when it was snowing they didn't cut it. So I was looking for a glove that would provide me with insulation and keep my hands dry, but that wasn't too bulky or restrictive, and I found it. This glove is great, It's pretty low profile, but still has a good amount of insulation. It allows good movement, but fits right. All around, I'd say this is a great glove. The white does get dirty easily, but that’s obvious.
