For the person who is just starting to learn navigation, this book is perfect. It is very informative and using practical real world situations to apply each lesson in the book. The book and compass combo really have helped me understand the basics of backcountry navigation. A perfect purchase. So far so good

A must have if you are packing your Therm-a-rest. The product is light weight and very strong. A must.

This is a great sleeping pad, I expected nothing less. It is very light weight and packs easily. I have only used it for one overnight trip but it seems to do well in all backcountry circumstances. No regrets.

When you need the best, trust this whistle to do the job. It is light weight and has two plastic balls has a back-up. Will not freeze.

When using the Katadyn Hiker and the Micropur tablets you can be assured of clean drinking water. I hike in some areas that have access to some poor water quality. I am not willing to take a chance on some viral contaminant. Using both a filter and chemical treatment can assure clean safe water.

A must have if you are using the filter on a regular basis.

I was looking for a light weight portable filter, the Katadyn is a great fit. So far the Hiker does a great job and is easily maintained. The pumping action is smooth and consistent. I would recommend this to fellow hikers.
