Great Hiking Shoe

Vasque Breeze Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 5, 2008

I have only hiked about 50 miles in these shoes, but so far they are great. Comfortable, good support, no blisters, pressure points, hot spots, etc. Sole is excellent.....good grip, and very solid. You can step on stones, roots, etc. and not feel a thing, yet they do not feel stiff either. The wear to this point seems as good or better than any I have worn. I hike a lot and have gone through many shoes, but think I have found the best one for me, and would/will buy another pair.

Not good for hiking....

Chaco Canyonland Low eVent Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 May 30, 2008

I am a Chaco lover and have hiked in their sandals for a long, long time. This shoe fits great and is very comfortable.....no blisters, pressure points, etc. However, it is not suitable for hiking if you are going to hike on normal trails...i.e., in the woods, or on rocky trails. The sole is so soft that every time you step on a stone, tree root, etc., it hurts the bottom of your foot. The sole felt acceptable at first, but after about 4-5 hikes they became softer and softer. If you want a comfortable shoe for walking on smooth, groomed surfaces, I think it would be great.

Columbia Cascade Creek ll Water Short - Men's

March 11, 2008

Question.....Comment...Are you going to be getting more of the Columbia Cascade Creek water shorts in size medium? I will pass along to you that the sizing with this new model is much different than last year. I got large last year and they fit perfectly....this year with a large the elastic doesn't even touch my waist...I had to get medium.

I have a feeling you are going to be needing more medium than you may have anticipated.
