Very good bag
Mountain Hardwear Ultralamina 32 Sleeping Bag: 32 Degree Synthetic
July 14, 2008
Took this bag up to Humphrey's Basin in mid-June, campsite was at 10,800 feet with plenty of snow on all the surrounding peaks. Overnight temps were in the low 40s/high 30s, we were in a MSR Hubba Hubba with the fly on. This bag performed well, and though I usually don't wear much while sleeping, when it starts getting cold this bag benefits from a nice mid-weight capilene layer on your top and bottom. Really gave it a little extra warmth. I'm usually a warm sleeper and was chilly the first night, the capilene evened it out nicely and kept any sleep sweat under control. I hesitated at first with the half zipper thing (again, a warm sleeper) but it worked out just fine. Wonderfully light, packs small, I'm taking it on a trans Sierra hike next month where it will really get its test. For the money, this bag is hard to beat for performance and packed size. I highly recommend it.

Best. Shoe. Ever.
Montrail Comp XCR Hiking Boot - Men's
July 14, 2008
Hey, let's be honest. Everyone's foot is different, and finding a manufacturer whose product fits your foot is bested only by finding a woman who loves the outdoors as much as you. In my case, the woman has been found, and three years ago, I found Montrails. After a lifelong search for hiking and trail shoes/boots that fit my foot shape (wide front, narrow heel), the Montrails are it. I owned the previous version of this shoe (no gore tex liner) and it was perfect out of the box, I wore them into the ground. I bought the GTX next for more heavy duty backpacking, loved them as well. I got this goretex pair more recently, and it is every good as its predecessors. I have zero complaints. No hot spots from day 1, bottom is grippy enough, heel locks work as designed, I wish I could clone this shoe.
