Vasque Breeze Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 June 13, 2008

I hike 5 miles per day of trails...really! On the plus side Vasque has the consistently good quality. The foot bed is quite ridged thus your feet are protected from wear and tear on rugged, sharp or rocky surfaces. This was the reason for my selection. On the down side the shoes breathe so well that the slightest dew penetrates leaving your feet damp...especially in the morning. Note: I live in the rainy Northwest Otherwise a great, rugged shoe.

Vasque Breeze Low Day Hiking Shoe - Men's

April 12, 2008

The question here is fit. European shoes tend to have narrower heels. That seems odd at first blush since many Americans are European decent. None the less I have wide feet and I like vasque as opposed to solomon and solomon is a great shoe. Look for a rigid foot bed padded tongue and rubber welt coming up in front of the toes for water and toe protection. REI is a good place to shop. Expect to pay about $100. Quality here is no place to skimp.
