The North Face Redpoint

The North Face Redpoint Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 14, 2008

An excellent jacket. Living in L.A., most of the time I can get away with just a T-shirt underneath. I'm disappointed though that TNF didn't include a brushed lining on the collar. At the end of the '07 season I purchased one in Empire Blue to go with my new Mountain Light, and was going to wait until the end of the '08 season to buy one in black, until I saw that TNF is no longer using Primaloft One but Primaloft Eco in this year's model to cut costs. Fortunately, Backcountry had one in Primaloft One in my size, with the the lowest price on the internet. (Note: TNF runs large, so at 6'1"/180 a medium fits perfectly)

The North Face Pumori Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 February 25, 2008

Another excellent product from The North Face. Love the fact that they're zip-in compatible with the Mountain Light I bought. With just a T-shirt or turtleneck it's enough to keep you warm in temps down to the mid-50's. Below, that it's time for the Redpoint A word of caution with regards to sizing, TNF outerwear runs large. I'm 6'1"/180 with a 41" chest and a medium in the fleece and jackets fits well.
