A Solid Lamp
Serfas SL-RC1 Rechargeable Headlight - 1 Watt
May 11, 2008
Easy install and pretty powerful for its size. The high setting is enough light for spotting road debris. While the low is great for alerting others to your presence, it is not enough for road debris - a perfect setting for conserving battery power during twilight hours.

Eye-catching
Serfas TL-2100 Taillight
May 11, 2008
I'm glad I'm not in the car following me looking at this light! Any more than a moment or so, and it is just plain annoying. In other words, it can't be missed - exactly what I'm looking for in a tail light.

So far so good
Garmont Sitka XCR Hiking Boot - Men's
March 28, 2008
I wasn't so sure about the asymmetrical lacing and tongue system. But, after 10 minutes out of the box, I understand how the off-angle lacing really can eliminate toe pinch. As for the tongue and cuff design, it's nice, but not nearly as noticeable as the natural flex in the toe box. I've had these for about 2 weeks now and I've to put them under pack load, as I would like to make sure new boots won't fail before I get too far back off the trail. So far, they're looking like they'll, not only hold up, but excel in the backcountry. I'm giving these a four star rating only because they have yet to stand the test of time.

Love this Jacket!
Mountain Hardwear Phantom Jacket - Men's
February 1, 2008
Lightweight, warm and generally rocks! The weight and pack-down size are phenomenal. The only drawback I see is the perceived weight of the shell. It may be very strong, but it just looks a little thin. I have not had any problems with durability, I just feel like it is more of a down sweater than it is a jacket.

They'll keep me on my toes!!
Garmont Ener-G Telemark Boot - Men's
January 30, 2008
These things are solid!! So much so, they just want to go of their own accord. If I don't stay on my game, they'll take off without me. Love 'em! I did find my heels went numb during the break-in period, but I've yet to lose feeling in my toes. Still trying to work on the bellows; my tips like to dive when I drop a knee in bottomless pow. A couple more days of hard running and they should come around quite nicely. Bomber...absolutely bomber!
