Osprey Packs Talon 22 Backpack - 1200-1300cu in

Rating for this product: 5 May 22, 2008

My osprey Talon 22 is great. No two ways about it. I use this pack to take my personal supplies to and from work. I was worried because I knew I needed pockets. Well, with a good sized pocket at the top of the bag, 2 side stretch pockets, one large stuff pocket, a main compartment, a small Velcro pocket in the main compartment and also one in hydration compartment and two shoulder strap pockets and two belt pockets ,I found i had nothing to worry about. The main compartment is plenty large. I can fit my lunch in the bottom of the pack, a nalgene on top of that, a stuff sack with my hat and gloves, my rain shell or extra shirt with a bit of room to spare. The stuff pocket on the main compartment has also held my nalgene and rain shell with ease. It now is holding the novel i am reading and does so without fear of it falling out. I have my professional CPR mask in one side stretch pocket and a box of Quench gum in the other. The side pockets are really a joy to have on this pack because they are extremely versatile with enough room and stretch for a Nalgene. The top zippered storage pocket held ALL my 'medical' supplies. Ibuprofen, liquid bandage, antacids, Swiss Army Knife, twenty plus items, everything i might need. The Small Velcro pocket inside the hydration sleeve is perfect for my Pocket Bible. The belt pouches hold a battery powered cell phone charger and 4 batteries and my Surefire Z2 combat light respectively. The straps are comfy and despite their diminutive appearance support my full gear weight without problems. The pockets on the shoulder straps are great. You need to work to get anything in them but that just means it will take an act of congress to make something fall out. Ipods, cell phones and Swiss Army Knives are safe, even on the move. I haven't yet used this bag out doors but i cannot wait. I have an acid green model, which isn't as bright as in the pictures but it isn't a problem. The color is Pleasing to say the least. compression straps, hip belt, sternum straps with safety whistle. Torso adjustment. Amazing pack!
