Marmot Helium EQ bag
Marmot Helium EQ Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Down
March 26, 2008
After having my last marmot bag for over 12 years, it finally needed to be replaced. The Marmot Helium EQ is warmer, lighter, more durable, and compacts much smaller than any other bag I compared. With constant trips in the San Juans, as well as being a Wilderness First Responder, this is the ultimate bag for any situation. Believe me, it is well worth the price!

DownMat sleeping pad
Exped DownMat Sleeping Pad
March 26, 2008
I have back problems, and sleeping on a typical camp pad or thermarest causes sleepless nights with sore and tenderness the next day. These DownMats are absolutely amazing! I feel like i am sleeping on by featherbed at the house! They are a bit bulky when packing, but if you have a sick down bad like the Marmot Helium EQ, you can make up for the space with a bag that condenses to the size of a loaf of bread. If you have back problems, pick one of these up...Chriropractor recommended!

Arc'teryx Sniper Zip
Arc'teryx Sniper Zip Jacket - Men's
February 15, 2008
This jacket is a perfect warm layer. The thickness of the material is considerably more than your typical fleece. Perfect for windy days as well, and great style for having a beer slopeside.

It's nice to have a backup headlamp, especially one that has a flip down red filter for map reading, or making dinner in soft light. Always a fan for the camo...

Arcteryx Covert Beanie
Arc'teryx Covert Beanie w/ Pocket
January 28, 2008
Although I am a huge fan of Arcteryx, I had to return the covert beanie because it would not fit down over my ears. There is also a one-size, which is a little roomie for my small noggin. Just wish they offered a more stretchable beanie, love the zip pocket idea though...

fritschi freeride plus
Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Freeride Plus Binding
March 23, 2007
These bindings rock! I mounted mine on a pair of Rossi Scratch BC "create it" editions, and i couldn't ask for a better setup. They are great for groomers, crud, and of course backcountry touring...The new rail system is amazing, just flex forward and the bindings arc the ski. The only down side is the price. Enjoy!
