Best of the best

The North Face Himalayan Parka - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 1, 2007

The North Face Himalayan Parka is simply the WARMEST and relatively lightest expedition parka available. Neither Mountain Hardware nor Feathered Friends Down Parks rivals the quality of the Himalayan Parka. Granted, all North Face products are no longer top quality, and many notoriously have sizing issues; but the H. parka stands above and beyond all The North Face jackets. If you were to be air dropped into Antarctica or the Artic Circle, this is the parka to own. Simply, the best of the best.

Simply Amazing!

The North Face Redpoint Optimus Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 14, 2005

The North Face Redpoint Optimus Jacket is in a word, AMAZING. In more than a word, the jacket is an excellent insulator that is extremely lightweight with a soft feel. Unlike the standard Redpoint Jacket, the Optimus has a hood that is essential for the body to retain heat, and it is highly water resistant. Don't be fooled by its light weight, the jacket more than makes up for its weight in its warmth. In sum, one of the best North Face jackets available.

Superior Duffel

The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag - 2560-9070cu in

Rating for this product: 5 September 9, 2004

There simply is no comparison to the North Face Base Camp duffel. Having purchased the XL size all other bags are rendered redundant. Excellent quality and craftmanship as one would expect from the North Face. A raging bargain for the price. Excellent service from Backcountry.

Simply the Best

The North Face Himalayan Mitten

Rating for this product: 5 January 30, 2003

Being a long-distance runner in the northeast and not wanting to miss a day due to the sub-freezing temperatures, I've experimented with many, many gloves. While other gloves will keep you warm if you layer them, the TNF Himalayan Mitt works wonders alone in temperatures near or below zero with the wind and is extremely lightweight---although a bit expensive, it's an investment that will last a lifetime.
