The North Face Resolve Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

Bought a medium for my friend. It fits him pretty well, room for layers underneath.

love it as well!

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 April 9, 2008

I've used one of these for 4 years now, around 30 nights a year. Never had a hole, always keeps me warm (even in -25F). I do carry a patch kit though, just in case. I really like to pack everything on the inside of my pack, and this compresses small enough to get it inside with everything else.

a standard

Nalgene Lexan Wide Mouth Water Bottle - 32oz DO NOT USE

Rating for this product: 5 April 9, 2008

A standard piece of gear. I carry 1 of these and 1 lighter water container, like a bladder or Gatorade bottle. What can I say? It always works and is hard to break.

great little pouch

Sea To Summit Neoprene Pouches

Rating for this product: 5 April 9, 2008

I use this for my skydiving altimeter. The neoprene is great padding. I like to keep things organized in my bag/pack so this works great.

good fit

The North Face Jasper Canyon GTX Hiking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

Got a size 11 and normally wear a 11 or 11.5 tennis shoe. I still have room for thick socks. Make sure to wear high top socks or they rub a little (of course).

custom draws

Black Diamond Dogbones

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

I bought these to make some custom draws, the price was okay and the weight is great. The little rubber insert fit my Neutrinos pretty well, would fit a Hotwire too I bet.

Great pack

Arc'teryx Needle 45 Backpack - 2624-2868cu in

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

Holds enough for going climbing for a day - harness, shoes, food, rope, some pro. May be a little small for a weekend backpacking trip unless I clip some things on the outside. I like the roll-top design, and the outside pocket is good for a map or guide book. The brain is a little small.

packs pretty small

Mountain Hardwear Piute 20 Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Down

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

This bag packs much smaller than my synthetic 20F. My friend was nice and warm at 32F. The regular is enough for him at 5'8".

good for fair weather

The North Face Pamir Windstopper Glove

Rating for this product: 5 April 9, 2008

I bought these for skydiving in cold weather. They don't insulate very well, but the Windstopper is good at 30mph, above that and I can feel it :) I wear them as driving gloves too, and the grippy palms work pretty well.

these get hot!

La Sportiva Barracuda Climbing Shoe

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

I'm an 11.5 street shoe and wear a 43 in these. They stretched a little over a 2 month period. I love them for cracks and short trad. Longer trad, or any sunny hot climbing and these get very hot (lots of black rubber all over). I still bring my worn out 5.10s for long trad.

light and packable

The North Face Venture Pant - Mens

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

I'm 6'1" and these fit nicely. They pack down into the pocket, a plus because I don't use them very much and it keeps my pack organized.

Does the job

Therm-a-Rest ProLite 4 Stuff Sack

Rating for this product: 3 April 9, 2008

I'd agree it's a little overpriced, but it is very lightweight and durable. A small(er) price to pay to protect the $80 pad inside and keep it cleaner.

Big bag

Metolius Rope Ranger Bag - 1368 cu in

Rating for this product: 4 April 9, 2008

I like the size of this bag because I can carry a rope, some webbing, and my harness and shoes. I wear it as a backpack and have my partner carry the pro and food. I wouldn't recommend buying this if you're going to put it inside your backpack a lot, takes up most of the space in my 40L rolltop.

Tough pouch for the price

Sea To Summit Neoprene Pouches

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2007

I use this for my skydiving altimeter. It fits nicely, and has pretty thick neoprene- lots of padding. I requested blue and got blue from this site. All around, good little pouches.

Tight fitting

The North Face Pamir Windstopper Glove

Rating for this product: 5 December 5, 2007

I ordered a large by the sizing guide, and they are pretty tight fitting on me. This is what I wanted, though, so I can still work with my fingers. They seem pretty windproof, but not very insulated (as advertised). The grippy palms are great. I haven't had them long enough to know how durable they are.
