Arc'teryx Tau Beanie
December 5, 2006
I don't know what the purpose of this hat is. It has NO wind-stopping ability, so I'm freezing under it as soon as temperature drops below 50. Don't use this for sports activities as it lets every bit of wind through. If you nee something in a slightly cold room (say between 50-60 F) to heat your head up to a cosy 70F, you may want to buy it, but for that purpose it's probably a bit too much money...

Arc'teryx Emissary Beanie
December 5, 2006
My head is rather large and this hat, although it says unisize, is too small. Maybe related to that it lets a lot of wind through. More wind than my old fleece beanie that I wanted to replace. Will have to send this back.

strange sizing...
Patagonia Gritty Pack
October 4, 2006
This backpack seems to be very well thought through, however the sizing is way off! I ordered a large (L), have a back length of 20 inches (6 feet 2 tall). When I put the pack on with the straps loose, the hip-belt closes in the middle between chest and belly button, i.e. about 8-10 inches too high! The pack I have would be too small for a 5 foot person I think. There's a chance it was marked wrongly, however the tag on it says L.
