Nice Glove the OR Alti
Outdoor Research Alti Glove
November 26, 2006
Last year I needed a new glove. I did not get this glove because of Ed Vistrus recommends them, but for 2 reasons; the removable insulating glove liner and the flexibility for usage. FACTS: It's a nice fitting glove. I skied and done various outdoor stuff with temps 20-30's, not cold. Added an N2Skin silk glove liner with temps 10-20's, not cold. This year, I am going to try the OR Vert glove as the N2Skin base layer for extra performance. With the regular Gore-Tex Shell, no clamminess. Bottom line: the glove works for me, shell only, shell + glove's liner and shell + glove's liner + N2Skin. That's flexibility.

Need a next2skin layer for active wear, get the Mondo Zip - the Natural Stuff
Icebreaker Skin Mondo Zip - Men's
January 13, 2006
For years, my base layer consisted of Hi-Tech man made products from different companies. After reading and hearing suggestions from others, I settled on a NATURAL product, Hi-End Merino Wool. I choose ICEBREAKER for their variety of styles and colors. I needed something to go underneath my Icebreaker Rock Zip (mid weight) as the next2skin layer (I always prefer a light and then a mid weight layer before adding an insulating layer). Let me tell you, the MONDO Zip is beyond words. After wearing for hours skiing or hiking, I do not feel damp like the man-made stuff, especially after adding layers when I need too. Yes, I am getting another one in a different color, of course. How can you go wrong with this product or any other product from ICEBREAKER? TRY IT!

Why I gave this product a best rating
Mountain Hardwear WindStopper Tech Pant - Men's
January 12, 2006
Last season, I purchased a Mountain Hardwear Windstopper Tech Jacket. As a lightweight jacket, it was truly outstanding in every category. I could not wait to get the matching pant pants. This season I did and here is my conclusion, it is worth the investment. Perfect example, recently I went skiing in upper 20F and a brisk wind. My legs were nice and comfortable, even on the lift chair. My laying method: Icebreaker next to skin leggings (200 weight), WindStopper Tech Pant and Tenacity Gore-Tex shell pant. Even walking around with out the shell pant, I was fine. Honestly, in the last three years, I changes over to Mountain Hardwear products, and they have not fail me yet. I strongly advise getting the WindStopper Products.
