My feet are a bit wider than normal. Are these boot wide? And should I buy the size up or size down and how many, like 0.5 or 1 size up or down?

Thanks.

The best buy I've ever made.

The North Face Adrenaline Gore-Tex XCR Mid Hiking Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 August 19, 2005

I'm an amateur hiker and I was looking for a pair of boots to protect my feet and my ankle. I first bought this pair because of its light weight compared to Vasque and its cool look. My first hike was two days ago to Mission Peak, Fremont CA. It was exciting experience to hike up there and it is amazing to me that I didn't feel anything cover my feet until I stepped on those rocks close to the peak and until I walked downhill that I realized I was perfectly and comfortably protected. Only 5.6 miles trip but it was my first hike ever and it left no blisters or no hurt feeling on both of my feet. How long will they last? This is my question, too.
