Pretty good shorts

These would be great if you're running in super-heat. I prefer shorts with underwear included, so these feel like I'm wearing almost nothing. Which is nice when it's hot... The fit is not super flattering, but running shorts are typically not fashion wear anyway. Same extraordinary Patagonia quality.

I can't believe I carried the whole thing

This is a very good pack. The fanny pack feature is convenient. But I wish I had held out for a pack with a "cranial cavity," because when properly fitted, the pack does not allow for comfortable or safe bicycle operation. It pushed my helmet down over my eyes! Otherwise, comfortable and well designed.
