These shorts are great. I was hesitant to spend that much on a pair of bike shorts. I saw the Forma's got Bicycling magazine's Editor's Choice for 2006 and I thought I would try them out to see what the buzz was about. I liked those a lot and then thought heck for 30 bucks more, why not try these out and go all out? Turns out these shorts are that good. I returned the Forma's and bought these. They fit like a glove and feel really comfy right out of the gate. I don't seem to get chafing any more. Sure I have to get off the saddle every now and then to let the blood return but in general I'd say I get off the saddle less. It seems like the gel insert is working and it returns to shape when I do get off of the saddle, allowing a cushy return. I also find I have to use very little chamois cream with these for long rides and none for shorter rides. Construction seems impeccable and the fabric is soft and supple. The leg grippers do a great job and I don't miss the rubber grips of some other brands. If you can afford a pair go for it. Your crotch will thank you.
