Unique Shirt
Mission Playground Crosscheck Shirt - Button-Down - Short-Sleeve - Men's
June 28, 2008
This is a very unique print- but not like "what a ugly shirt". It's quite the opposite; literally every time I've put this shirt on someone has complimented it. The snap buttons with the faux mother-of-pearl are a really nice touch. The fabric is durable and soft. The key to keeping these shirts in nice shape is washing them cold/cold and hang drying them. Two thumbs up, Mission Playground is ruling it with their men's offerings.

Arc'teryx Alpha SL Jacket - Men's
June 8, 2008
It's way more durable then people give it credit for. It's light, but I've brushed tress while skiing pretty fast- I've ripped several other jackets the same way; the paclite held up fine.
Styleeee
Mission Playground Juarez Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's
May 21, 2008
This shirt is styleee ( yes, it deserves extra e's) It should come with a stick to beat off all the ladies that will be chasing you around. Very well made shirt, and the snap buttons are a nice touch. If you want it to stay nice be sure to wash cold and hang/lay flat to dry. It's a little pricey, but worth the $$$. If you take care of it you'll have a stylin' go-to summer shirt for years to come.

Bern Macon Hard Hat Helmet w/ Visor Knit Liner
March 2, 2008
Snowbird received 20in of blower overnight last night. Super good turns, ect. I went to send an air that I've hit at least 10 times this year -money take off and landing.. Except the landing had slid, exposing a hard bed surface. Of course the landing is blind, and I didn't realize it until I was in the air. I tried to stomp the landing, as I hadn't set my self up for a hip check. I backslapped a 40 foot air so super hard it wasn't even funny. My head was catapulted backwards into the bed surface incredibly violently. The helmet performed amazingly. Every other helmet I've owned (Giro) would have left me with at least a moderate concussion. Instead, the Bern seemed to absorb 99% of the impact- I hardly felt a thing. The helmet didn't shift at all; I felt like my head was coddled in cotton balls. The tourists at the bottom could not believe I skied out of such a violent fall. Thank you Bern, I'm sold.

So Nice.
El Naturalista Moai Slip On Shoe - Men's
January 13, 2008
These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. Super well made, and they look great. Like the other review, you should buy them if you are on the fence about the price-- well worth every penny. They will last for years if you take care of them. Buy the shoes, you won't regret it when you see them. FYI-- The 'Cuero' color is accurate on this web site. I went to the manufacturer's web site, and they look almost reddish in color... this is not the case.

Oakley Crowbar Goggles - Iridium Lens
January 12, 2008
Best goggle I've used. Puts Smith and Scott to shame. They rarely fog, and the optics are killer. I found the best thing to do is to buy two pair; one for low light, one for sunny days. You could buy 1 frame and one extra lens, but that sucks. It's a pain to change the lenses, and when you do you muck up the lens with your fingerprints and oil The lenses that have worked the best for me: H.I ( high intensity) yellow for low light, and Gold/Black/Blu/ iridium for mostly sunny days Get the Fire lens if you are going to be riding in bluebird/ glacier/ spring conditions. It's money.

All the difference...
Swix Bronze All-Round Brush
January 12, 2008
Get a bronze brush. It makes all the difference. I brush my skis before I wax ( after I clean them), and you wouldn't believe how much extra glop comes out compared to using a nylon brush. I don't race, but am always breezin' by my buds on traverses and flats. The beauty of a good tune is realized when you are pillaging the 15" of new while your friends are 50 feet behind poling on traverses.

January 7, 2008
I'm 5'11 190ish and the large fits HUGE... Like I'm wearing a smock. The shirt is well made, however. Oakley calls this shirt a 'Loose fit'. They have three types of 'fits'. Loose fit, True fit, and Slim Fit. Me=43" chest Medium in 'Loose fit' Large in 'True fit' XL in 'Slim fit'.

These things rip.
Black Diamond Zealot Alpine Ski
December 1, 2007
This is for the 192. These things rip. They chew up crud and rail on the groomers. they almost feel like race skis on the groomers. And the pow... these things love speed and power and a lot of input. You are rewarded with a ripping, stable, big mountain ski. Not for the weak or for the groomer cruiser.. but you knew that already. These skis are stiff. Think 189 Rossignol squad. No kidding. Me.. 5'11 190ish. Likes powder and drops and speed.

Awesome Shorts
Arc'teryx Alibi Long Short - Men's
May 26, 2007
These shorts are awesome do-it-all shorts. They have a touch of stretch in them, and are super lightweight and breathable. They are a little spendy, but I'm sure they will pay for themselves over time.

Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandal - Men's
May 26, 2007
I just retired my last pair ( they were bought in 2002.) The Diamond Stealth sole is great for all-around traction. People say that the Diamond Stealth sole wears quicker, but I've worn my new pair almost everyday for 2 months and they look like new.
