"some unexpected happenings" - Review of Outdoor Research Misto Sombrero - Women's

I don't know how this hat is going to "perform" as that will take a while to evaluate. I do know that for a $50 hat, I was surprised how it was delivered: in a USPS bag, unwrapped...no bag...plastic or otherwise, no tissue paper...nothing....just thrown into the mailer. Also disappointing was a big, black adjustment knob on the outside of the hat on the brim!!!! Not pictured!!! I know why: it's ugly. The hat comes in S,M, and L...so why would it need an ugly black adjustment knob?
