I agree wholeheartedly. I dumped some other name boots when I discovered these. I've done alot of alpine snow approaches and even some winter trail treks with them and they are terrific on all counts. I don't find them too rigid, they have terrific grip and are warm and light. The Event works far better then goretex. They also fit me like a dream. Never had a better boot IMHO.
