Ranked #873 - Men's Mountaineering Boots
September 22, 2008
My feets are very picky when it comes to boots. Normally I have to break new boots in, unless I want blisters. I bought these boots for a "10 summits over 6500 feets in 10 hours" trip me and some friends had been planing for a few months since my old ones was asking for retirement. I kinda ordered them a little too late so I only tried them on for a short 2 mile trip up and down a hill where I live. So I was a bit anxious when we set out on our "epic" daytrip... My worries was soon forgotten as he boots proved themself worthy over and over. They where extremely good on the foot, they performed wonderful on rocky parts of the trip, they where brilliant when climbing or walking over the thinnest edges, they matched my step-in crampoons perfect when passing glaciers. Of course we all had legs like jelly when we finally came back to the cabin after 15 hours of walking and climbing but not near the fatigue Ive felt with other boots before. Besides all of my friends had longer recovery the following days than I had, and some of the credit I will give the boots. For these kind of trips they where absolutely perfect. I have already decided to buy another pair to have when these babies are worn out. Go get a pair before I buy them all... tyty LaSportiva.
