This pad will give you the piece of mind when you have to plop down so sleep on some sticks or rocks. I also use this pad for winter adventures instead of bringing an open and closed cell pad. This has served me well in every situation. The few times I thought it was too bulky while packing, I ended up being very glad I had it.
