I bought this jacket for my son (7yrs.) as a rain jacket to wear during any season. On colder days he can layer it with a fleece vest underneath. I do, however, disagree with another reviewer. I felt the jacket runs somewhat small, especially if you wish to get more than one season wear. The fleece lining around the collar was a great touch. I'm very satisfied, as is my son.

Great jacket. Solid construction, comfortable, wind and rainproof, and great fit/style. Very glad I bought for my son
