This jacket is a good as part of a layering system. On its own its not the warmest and it isnt qutie as windproof as suggested. However, its breathability, packability and overall function are great. I used on an early fall ascent of the Diamond- it kept me warm(w/2 layers underneath) and dry. Very stylish IMHO too. Stops the precip as well. Worth it. Buy it.
