Suunto Cadence POD

Item #SUN0188 | 0 in Stock
3 Star Rating

Expensive, but it does what it claims

By Ranked #188 - Heart Rate Monitors September 16, 2008

The cadence pod works just fine as long as you have the "c" class of Suunto watches....er, wristop computers. That is "c" as in t4c or t6c. If not, you'll have to upgrade from your current model.

As for the functionality...it's great to have my cadence information in real-time. If you're a techno-geek or beginner (like me) this item will help.

That being said, I have had a few minor issues. The cadence pod doesn't seem to pair right away with my t6c but it will usually link up before my warm-up ends (0.25miles). Once it is paired with the t6c, it stays paired (no data dropouts). Also, I get abnormally high readings (rpm) if the magnet on the crank arm a) stops at the POD on the frame (as it would the left pedal is at the 12 o'clock position) or b) passes by the sensor backwards.
