Tent Pole Broke

Not at all pleased with the performance of my Black Diamond Vista. During a recent storm on Lake Powell, tent pole broke during a storm puncturing a hole in the fly. (I have been in much worse with other equipment without a failure). Perhaps the unique design of the pole structure was the cause. Now waiting to see how Black Diamond will resolve this

I had the same thing happen to my Vista tent on Mount Rainier. We had, I thought, bomb-proofed our setup of the tent, but high winds broke the pole and ripped the fly. I was pissed, since 'cheaper' tents that others in our group setup did not have issues. Upon my return, I called Black Diamond and explained what happened. They had no problem sending out new poles and fly ... super service. I just wish the Vista had more 'internal' points where the fly attached to the tent poles. But, for most things, the Vista is wonderful.
