"These shoes finished the JMT, not entirely unscathed though ..." - Review of Lafuma Elektron Trail Running Shoe - Men's
Foremost, I have to say that I absolutely love the twin lace system, as it gives me a better fit than I've ever found in a hiking/running shoe. These shoes, following the previous twin lace models, fit great, and are adjustable for various foot types.
They're lightweight as well, and I used them for a 14 day hike of the John Muir Trail this summer. I would only give them a B- for durability, however. One side strap came unstitched partway through my hike, leaving me up at night restitching it with fishing line. Later, I accidentally caught the top of the forefoot on a rock edge, and simply ripped right through the mesh. Once again, another evening stitching. Despite all of this, I finished my hike with the franken-shoes, and these were on my feet for about 200 of those 220 miles.
